At the American Heart Association, Founders Affiliate, we are meeting people where they are in our communities as we build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke for all Americans. In 2016-17 alone, we touched over 5 million people with our Target BP program. Our Healthy Food & Beverage toolkits reached about 50 thousand people. We are touching 90 thousand folks with our health engagement tools, including EmPOWERED to Serve, Hands Only CPR, and educational Twitter parties. Despite the outstanding efforts of our volunteers and staff, health disparity remains a critical health threat to our communities. Our dashboard aims to illustrate both the disparities in our markets, and the ways in which we are working to increase health equity for everyone.
